2010 Sees New Decade for NTH, over the last 10 years we have expanded and continue to do so with investment in new equipment every year making sure that we can expanded our outreach programme. This Year we have been busy working together with local community groups to help them produce there event to the Highest Quality. We have been out in the communities of the Highlands even more this year than any year before and will continue to do so. |

Highland Dancing Display in Evanton Diamond Jubilee Hall, NTH gave technical support for Cheryl Heggie School of Highland Dance on Thursday 13th May 2010. We provided sound projection and pa system.
"All dancers who go to the dancing school are very talented and are learning new dances and improving the technique every year. Well done to everyone who took part"

 The event with great sucess there was a great turn out and it really was a live question time we had representatives from Liberal Democrats, Trade Union & Socialist, Christian Party, UKIP, Conservative, SNP, Green Party and Labour. It really gave people of Inverness, Ross-shire and area a chance to speak to there local representative a head of the next UK General Election about there enviromental.

We have gone green for this political election local politicians will take questions about enviromental matters on Monday 3rd May 2010 at Hilton Church, Tomatin Road, Inverness. Event Starts 6:30pm .
Our eco question time that has been organised by Friends of the Earth Inveress & Ross as part of many other meetings they held to bring people aware of how we can change our lifestyles to help conserve mother nature resources and help to reduce climate change in the home. NTH has worked with Friends of the Earth Inveress & Ross before only a few months ago to put on short film in Ardross Hall, Easter Ross. Once again NTH is back to provide technical support for this eco question time event.

Evanton Brownies, Evanton Girlguides and Dingwall Brownies & Dingwall Girlguides on Saturday 27th of March 2010 did 4 short plays set back in the 1950's, to celebrate the queens conation, in the famous Diamond Jubilee Hall .

1 Night Only

Friends of the Earth Inverness and Ross has teamed up with NTH to convert Ardross Hall into a movie theatre for one night only to show the film: The Film Age of Stupid was Screened in Ardross on 28th January it was great sucess and we got a lot of good feedback .

Street Christmas Lights

NTH AWARDS are coming onto the Scene.
NTH has now annouced its plans to hold there very first annual awards cermony due to take place in 2011. "It has always being on the cards to hold our very own awards cermony and we have decided that 2011 will be the year of its launch to mark our 10th Birthday".
2010 is going to be a year to remember for the National Theatre of the Highlands.

NTH is changing and expanding when everyone else is downsizing, and cutting costs, we believe bring exellent entertainment to your community.

| Announce New Chairman

As you know NTH is involved in trying to save one of our local venues. Save The Dj Campaign was launched on the 20th of August 2008 and has been involved in trying to save our venue from day one. It was announced that NTH very own Chairman and Founder Michael MacLeod is the new chariman of the Diamond Jubilee Hall Steering Group, we would like to wish him all the best, and would also like to thank Doug Suckling for all his hard work since the steering group was formed.

National Theatre of the Highland were involved in providing technical service for the Story Telling Fundraiser ran by the Evanton Fundraising Group. Funds raised would go toward the Santa's Grotto in December. It was a fantastic night everyone who attended really enjoyed and came back with lots of memories of a fantastic evening at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Evanton.

This year saw the National Theatre of the Highlands take part for the second year running in technical and for the first time with Blitz performance arts at this years annual Blitz Awards for the Inverness Blitz Academy of American Football. This year saw the standard and quality leap even further than before with a brand new layout, new screen, new mics, new lights, and new actors.
This year was the first time for more action that happened in the arena area outside the main theatre with our very own dj, playing all the latest sounds and keeping the presenters and family and friends on there toes.
This year saw the stage in a complete new light. with moving heads, mirror moving heads, leds, trussing lots more, we even had Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew pay us a little visit and highjacked the theatre untill the Highland Wildcats mascot Rockey came to the rescue on a Harley Davidson.
The National Theatre of the Highlands would like to pay a special thanks to Stephen Leslie from I-Light for all his help in this production. Also NTH would like to thank Keldon Miles from Disco Brothers for the entertainment in the outer arena.

There will be another public meeting for Saving the Diamond Jubillee Hall, Evanton in November 2008. Details have not been decided as of yet but please check our website or savethedj.co.uk for updates.
NTH are proud to support Save the DJ Hall Campaign in Evanton. NTH are proud to help save the Diamond Jubilee Hall in Evanton it is one of our regular venues for show, drama workshops, session and soon to be the venue for our new film group starting later this year.

The film group will launch in Evanton one night a week. The first project is to create a short film about the Highlands of Scotland.

The National Theatre of the Highlands took part in Volunteer Highlands 1st Recuit Fayre for Ross-shire. This is NTH second Recuirment Fayre we have taken part in Volunteer Highland. We took part in the Volunteer Highland Recuitment Fayre Inverness-shire last year on the 2nd June 2007. NTH have made lots of new friends at both Fayres and have a few project in the pipeline.
